Pursue Presence
Too many of us go to church and try to follow God, yet God feels distant and we feel empty. Our church has created a simple, shared way of life—8 corporate spiritual practices that help us walk closely with Jesus every single day.

Find Freedom
Jesus didn’t just save you for heaven someday. He saves you for freedom today. Connection Point Church is committed to seeing all disciples walk in true freedom. We have created a simple, transformational pathway that helps you experience life change from the inside out.

Live on Mission
Too many of us define our lives by our accomplishments and achievements. We often achieve one milestone only to realize we were made for more. Our vision is to unleash every follower of Jesus to impact those you already see everyday. Living on Mission means we make disciples where we live, work, and play.
Pursue Presence
Many followers of Jesus spend years doing things to connect with God, only to feel more distant and less fulfilled. Many of us are trying to do the work of God without the presence of God—and it leaves us exhausted. Pursuing Presence is an invitation to life rooted in Jesus not performing good tasks for Jesus. Our Connection Point Way of Life focuses on simple corporate spiritual practices to help you learn to hear His voice, rest in His peace, and walk in His power.
When you pursue the presence of Christ, you don’t just serve Him—you stay connected to the only One who transforms you from the inside out.

Find Freedom
... [Jesus has] made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:10
Most followers of Jesus never truly grasp the vision God has for our lives. We are meant to reign eternally because of the grace and goodness of God! In order to fully experience all that God intends for us, we must start that journey now. Everyday is a new opportunity to step into the freedom and peace that God's kingdom brings forth. God does not desire us to simply survive this world until a future day- he intends for us to experience true freedom made possible by the Holy Spirit working in us each day. This is an intentional choice each follower of Jesus is expected to pursue.

Most Christians stay stuck in the same patterns for years—not because they don’t love Jesus, but because they don’t have a clear path to real change. Finding Freedom means every believer has a simple, guided process to experience transformation that lasts. Through our seven-step Freedom Map, you’ll discover God’s vision for your life, make the decision to change, walk with the right people, practice proven spiritual habits, use the best tools and resources available, and share your story so others can experience freedom too.
You don’t have to stay stuck. Freedom is possible—and it starts with a map.

We are committed to walking with you so that you experience freedom from and freedom to...
All of us need to find freedom.
Some of us need freedom from struggles like anxiety or debt. Some of us need freedom from sins like pornography or anger. Some of us need freedom from past trauma, such as abuse or grief.
Other of us may think we are free but we aren't experiencing the Spiritual Fruit that the bible promises. We need freedom to LOVE, JOY, PEACE and much more!
Connection Point Church has a vision for every member of our church to be walking in freedom. We are committed to doing everything we can so that you can truly experience a new life in Christ. We will help lead you from where you are to where God wants you to be!

1. Vision of Life Change
Most people don't know true change is possible. The first step of finding true freedom is knowing that true change is possible from whatever struggles or sins you currently face. It is also important to understand that real consequences can occur when we don't pursue change. We will work hard to make sure everyone in our church has a complete vision of what the Holy Spirit can do in their life!
Bold Step- Connect Groups! We will try to provide encouragement in all areas of our church for you to find freedom in Christ, but our primary vehicle for this step is a connect group. Our Connect Groups will provide a place where you will be encouraged to continue your journey each week and prayed for daily by your fellow members.

2. Decision to Change
Every life changing moment comes down to a single moment of decision. A decision that something's gotta give. A decision of surrender. Although this can be a hard step to take, it is necessary.
Bold Step- Sign the banner! At the back of the room each Sunday is a Freedom Banner. You will notice that there are already many names on that banner. These names are members of our church who have decided to take a bold step and pursue freedom in a specific area of their life. When you feel like you are ready to join the vision and find freedom- let us know and sign the banner!

3. People to Walk With.
Every person who has ever experienced true freedom had help. One of the most important steps is to find accountability. People who can stand in the gap when we are struggling and lift us up in prayer and encouragement. A person who can challenge us and show up when we need it.
Bold Step- Men's and Women's Ministry. Our Men's and Women's ministry serve to connect us together. When you attend a men's or women's event, you will not only attend a great event and connect with other men or women, you will have an opportunity to find accountability. At each event, our leaders will provide an opportunity for you to find someone else who has made the decision to pursue freedom. As we help to connect you with other members pursuing freedom, you will have someone ready to walk with you (and you with them!) towards freedom!

4. Spiritual Practices
As you continue your journey to find freedom, it is important to connect our spiritual life and our physical journey to Christ. Our Connection Point Way of Life focuses on 8 spiritual practices that we pursue together. There are, however, many more spiritual practices that can be helpful to overcome specific struggles.
Bold Step: Get a guide! Because there are so many different practices, tools, and resources to help you from here on out, we have trained certain leaders in our church to help you understand what is available for you. If you would like to meet with a guide- in person, online, or even through a text conversation, we would love to help. You can reach out to Pastor Joel to connect you with a guide.

7. Tell Your Story!
As you experience freedom, your voice could change someone else's life. Whether you are fully experiencing freedom in Christ or just starting your journey, telling your story can give others the strength to start their own journey. Our goal is to remove the shame and stigma that keep many people from finding true freedom- so your courage might change a life.

Live on Mission
Many Christians think "making disciples" is for pastors or “super-spiritual” people—but Jesus calls every believer to make disciples where they live, work, and play. Living on Mission means CPC will equip you with practical, actionable training each month so you can share the gospel, disciple others, and impact your everyday world. It's not about convincing the unconvinced- it's about impacting the people in your life where God is already at work!
A legacy in life is not about what we accomplish or achieve-it's about the people we impact eternally!
A legacy in life is not about what we accomplish or achieve-it's about the people we impact eternally!
Each month we have a Live on Mission Lunch where we learn how to make disciples where we live, work, and play. This is not simply a teaching or a training, but you will learn real techniques and receive one on one encouragement and coaching to make disciples in your home, where you work, and in the places you go each week.
Your Bold Step- ATTEND A LIVE ON MISSION LUNCH!
The Live on Mission map
This map will eventually be full of Disciple Groups all over DFW. The Red Icons represent a Disciple Group where you lives, the Green icon represents a Disciple Group where someone works, and the Blue icon represents a Disciple group where someone plays.
The Connected Path Script 1
Welcome to Connection Point Church! We exist to lead you from where you are to where God wants you to be. If you are wondering how we can actually help you move from where you are to where God wants me to be, we have an answer: we call it The Connected Path. This pathway is designed to lead you from where you are to where God wants you to be.
Think of The Connected Path like a car, ready for a journey. This car has three essential parts that work together: Practice Presence, Find Freedom, and Live on Mission. If you miss any part, you won't get where you need to go!
First, we must Practice Presence—this is the gas. Too many of us feel empty or distant, trying to do the work of God without the presence of God, leading to burnout. Practicing Presence is an invitation to a life rooted in Jesus, helping you walk closely with Him every single day. Through our shared Connection Point Way of Life, we learn to hear His voice, rest in His peace, and walk in His power. We must fill up our spiritual tank regularly.
Second, we must Find Freedom—this is the engine. Jesus saves you for freedom today, not just for heaven someday. Most Christians get stuck because they lack a clear path to change. Finding Freedom means experiencing liberation from struggles like anxiety or debt, sins like anger or lust, and possibly past trauma and abuse. Using our seven-step Freedom Map, every believer can experience transformation that lasts. Just like you repair a clunky engine to run smoother, regularly seeking freedom prevents breakdown and ensures you can follow God's plan.
Finally, we Live on Mission—this is the act of driving. It is the purpose of the car; the reason we put in gas and fix the engine. Jesus commanded every believer to "go and make disciples". Living on Mission means we train and equip you to impact those you see everyday, making disciples right where you live, work, and play. If we have a full tank and a great engine but never drive, we miss the whole point.
We believe with the right spiritual practices and a clear path to experiencing true freedom in Christ, everyone can Live on the mission God gave us to make disciples where we live, work, and play. This is the Connected Path.

The Connected Path Script 2
Welcome to Connection Point Church! We exist to lead you from where you are to where God wants you to be. We do this by following the The Connected Path. This is our discipleship map, designed to lead us from where we are right now to where God wants us to be. This path is built on three essential pillars: Practice Presence, Find Freedom, and Live on Mission.
The first pillar is Practice Presence. Many followers of Jesus spend years doing things to connect with God, yet they feel more distant and less fulfilled. We are often trying to do the work of God without the presence of God, which leaves us exhausted. Practicing Presence is an invitation to shift from performing good tasks for Jesus to living a life rooted in Jesus. Our simple, shared Connection Point Way of Life focuses on eight corporate spiritual practices that help you learn to hear His voice, rest in His peace, and walk in His power. When you pursue the presence of Christ, you stay connected to the only One who transforms you from the inside out.
Next, we must Find Freedom. We believe Jesus didn’t just save you for heaven someday; He saves you for freedom today. Most Christians stay stuck in the same negative patterns for years because they don’t have a clear path to real change. Finding Freedom means experiencing liberation from struggles like anxiety or debt, sins like pornography or anger, and past trauma such as abuse or grief. We are also seeking freedom to experience the Spiritual Fruit the Bible promises, such as LOVE, JOY, and PEACE. Through our seven-step Freedom Map, every believer has a simple, guided process to experience transformation that lasts.
Finally, we are called to Live on Mission. This is the ultimate purpose of the path. Many think "making disciples" is for pastors, but Jesus calls every believer to make disciples. Our vision is to unleash every follower of Jesus to impact those you already see every day. Living on Mission means we equip you with practical training so you can make disciples where you live, work, and play. The Connected Path ensures we are a church of passionate disciples making passionate disciples.

Practicing Presence Script 1
Welcome to Connection Point. As you begin your journey here, you might be asking a simple but honest question: How do I actually live a fulfilling Christian life?
So many Christians go to church, try to follow Jesus, and yet still feel distant from God—empty, tired, and spiritually worn out. Too often, we’re trying to do the work of God without the presence of God.
That’s why Practice Presence is the first foundation of our discipleship pathway, The Connected Way.
It’s an invitation to stop performing tasks for Jesus and start living a life rooted in Jesus. Because real transformation doesn’t come from effort alone—it comes from abiding in the only One who can change us from the inside out.
Our vision is simple: to help you walk closely with Jesus every single day.
We do this through the Connection Point Way of Life—a shared set of spiritual practices we pursue together as a church. These eight ancient practices—Prayer, Sabbath, Scripture, Fasting, Generosity, Community, Service, and Worship—aren’t religious checklists. They’re relational practices designed to help you hear God’s voice, rest in His peace, and walk in His power.
We practice these together because they are essential.
We want to help you learn how to draw into God’s presence daily—like filling your tank again and again. When you practice presence, you discover the power, peace, and closeness you need to truly walk with Christ.
Practicing Presence Script 2
Welcome to Connection Point. As you begin your journey here, you might be asking a simple but honest question: *How do I actually live a fulfilling Christian life?*
So many Christians go to church, try to follow Jesus, and yet still feel distant from God—empty, tired, and spiritually worn out. Too often, we’re trying to do the work of God without the presence of God.
That’s why our first step on our discipleship pathway is to Practice Presence.
It’s an invitation to stop performing tasks *for* Jesus and start living a life rooted *in* Jesus. Because real transformation doesn’t come from effort alone—it comes from abiding in the only One who can change us from the inside out.
Our vision is simple: to help you walk closely with Jesus every single day.
We do this through the *Connection Point Way of Life*—a shared set of spiritual practices we pursue together as a church. These eight disciplines—Prayer, Sabbath, Scripture, Fasting, Generosity, Community, Service, and Worship—aren’t religious checklists. They’re relational practices designed to help you hear God’s voice, rest in His peace, and walk in His power.
We practice these together because they are essential. Think of your spiritual life like a car. If *Finding Freedom* is the engine and *Live on Mission* is the act of driving, then *Practicing Presence* is the gas.
You can have a strong engine and a clear destination—but without fuel, you’ll burn out and end up stuck on the side of the road.
We want to help you learn how to draw into God’s presence daily—like filling your tank again and again. When you practice presence, you discover the power, peace, and closeness you need to truly walk with Christ.
Finding Freedom Script 1
Have you ever felt stuck?
You love Jesus, you show up at church… yet you’re caught in the same patterns — struggles like anxiety or debt, sins like anger or lust, or even the weight of past trauma.
The truth is, many believers stay stuck simply because they don’t have a clear path to real change.
At Connection Point, we believe something bold:
Jesus didn’t just save you for heaven someday — He saves you for freedom today.
Our heart is to see every disciple walk in that freedom… freedom from the things that hold us back, and freedom to live with the love, joy, and peace God promises.
Finding Freedom is so essential that we call it the engine of your discipleship journey.
If the engine isn’t healthy, the whole journey suffers.
That’s why we created the Freedom Map — a simple, guided process that helps you experience real, lasting transformation.
The Freedom Map has seven steps:
It begins with a Vision for Life Change — believing the Holy Spirit truly can transform you. Each week our members meet in Connect Groups throughout the city to connect and care for one another. In these groups, we continually encourage one another to find freedom from the things that shackle us from the life God has put before us.
Then comes the Decision to Change, that honest moment of surrender where you say, “Something has to shift.”
- You might notice the "Find Freedom" banner at the back of the room. Whenever a person decides to begin their journey of freedom, we encourage them to "Sign the Banner" to celebrate this important step in their journey.
Next, you find People to Walk With — trusted partners who pray with you, challenge you, and help you heal. We will help you do this in our men's and women's ministries that meet each month.
Along the way, we’ll connect you to essential Spiritual Practices, proven Tools, and helpful Resources — whether that’s a Bible study, one of our podcasts, professional counseling through our partnership with Watershed, or even a 12-step program. We will help you find the way.
And as God begins to reshape your life, you’ll be encouraged to Tell Your Story, because your courage can break shame and spark freedom in others.
Freedom is possible — and it starts with a map.
We want to help you move from where you are to where God wants you to be.
Start your Freedom journey by joining a Connect Group, where you’ll find prayer, encouragement, and a safe place to begin your freedom journey in Christ.
Live on Mission Script 1
At its core, following Jesus means we do what he did and do what he said. The final and most important thing he said to his followers is called the Great Commission. Jesus told us to "Go and Make Disciples"
Every follower of Jesus was told directly by Jesus to "MAKE DISICPLES".
At Connection Point Church, We call it **Living on Mission**—and it’s the third phase of our discipleship pathway.
Because following Jesus always moves us outward.
Here’s the big idea:
Every believer… every follower of Jesus… is called to be an **everyday missionary.**
Not just pastors. Not the “super spiritual.”
Every single one of us.
Right where you live, work, and play.
God has placed you in a *harvest field* — the people you already see every day.
And the legacy we want to leave isn’t about accomplishments or titles…
It’s about people whose eternity was changed because we stepped into the mission Jesus gave us.
So how do we live on mission?
We follow a simple progression:
It’s simple. It’s reproducible. And anyone can do it.
And there’s one keystone habit that drives the whole movement:
Get Trained.
Our goals over the next 5 years is not attendance or financial. we want to increase the number of people being *trained* to make disciples.
Because that’s how a movement grows.
Across our city, we’re seeing Disciple Groups forming in neighborhoods, workplaces, gyms—represented on our **Live on Mission Map.**
Every dot is a story.
Every story is a harvest field.
Every harvest field is a life God wants to reach.
So here’s the invitation:
Don’t just come to church.
Don’t just grow in Christ.
**Live on Mission.**
Let Jesus use your everyday life to change someone’s eternity.
Live on Mission Script 2
At its core, following Jesus means we do what He did and obey what He said.
And the final thing He told His followers — the Great Commission — was simple:
“Go and make disciples.”
Every follower of Jesus was personally commanded to make disciples.
At Connection Point Church, we call this **Living on Mission**. It’s the third phase of The Connected Way… because following Jesus always moves us outward.
Every believer — every follower of Jesus — is called to make a difference, we are called to make disciples.
Not just pastors. Not the “super spiritual.”
All of us.
Right where we live, work, and play.
Jesus told us to go into the "harvest field" and here is the exciting part:
God has already placed you in a *harvest field* — the people you see every day.
And the legacy we want to leave isn’t about accomplishments or titles…
It’s about people whose eternity was changed because we stepped into the mission Jesus gave us.
So how do we live on mission?
We follow a simple, intentional principle that we will share with you through our monthly Disciple Trainings.
It’s simple. It’s reproducible. Anyone can do it.
The big idea of Living on Mission at CPC is to Get trained.
Over the next five years, our goal isn’t attendance or budgets
it’s growing the number of people being trained to make disciples.
Because that’s how a movement grows.
All across our city, we’re seeing Disciple Groups pop up in neighborhoods, workplaces, and gyms — represented on our **Live on Mission Map**.

Practice over perfection Script 1
The Theologian, Dallas Willard, once said that following Jesus is not about trying harder—it’s about training for reigning.
In other words, discipleship isn’t just about believing the right things or behaving better. It’s about being formed into the kind of people who can live under God’s reign now… and one day reign with Him in His kingdom.
So much of our spiritual frustration comes from trying to perform our way into maturity. We try harder, do more, and promise to be better—but effort without formation always leads to exhaustion.
Jesus didn’t invite us into a self-help program. He invited us into a life of apprenticeship—where our hearts, habits, and desires are slowly transformed.
That’s why at Connection Point, Finding Freedom matters so deeply. Before we can live under God’s reign, we need freedom from the things that still reign over us—sin, shame, fear, and old patterns that keep us stuck.
Freedom isn’t just forgiveness for the past; it’s transformation for today.
But freedom doesn’t last without connection. That’s where Practicing Presence comes in.
We’re not training through willpower—we’re training through proximity. As we learn to walk closely with Jesus, hear His voice, rest in His peace, and live in His power, He shapes us into people who naturally live differently.
This is what it means to be training for reigning.
Not striving to earn God’s love—but training our lives around His presence so His kingdom can flow through us.
At Connection Point, we believe discipleship is about becoming the kind of people who can carry the life of Jesus into the world—free, formed, and fully alive.

That means following Jesus isn’t about perfection. It’s about formation. It’s about becoming the kind of people who can live under God’s reign now and reflect His kingdom in everyday life.
So many of us were taught that spiritual growth means trying harder—being more disciplined, more consistent, more put together. But just trying harder leads to burnout, shame, and pretending.
Training, on the other hand, assumes growth takes time. It allows for failure, repetition, and grace.
That’s why at Connection Point, we value Practice over Perfection.
Just like an athlete doesn’t step onto the field expecting to be perfect, a disciple doesn’t follow Jesus expecting instant maturity. We show up. We practice. We learn. And over time, we’re changed.
This is what Jesus invites us into. He doesn’t say, “Be flawless.” He says, “Follow Me.”
As we practice the way of Jesus—learning to pray, rest, listen, love, and obey—we are slowly formed into people who reflect His heart and carry His kingdom.
This is what it means to be training for reigning.
Not earning God’s approval, but practicing life with God—trusting that as we stay faithful in the small things, He’s shaping us for something far greater.
At Connection Point, you don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be willing to practice.
God's Kingdom over My Comfort
We all live seeking something. For many of us, we define our lives by our accomplishments and achievements. We focus on climbing the ladder, hitting the next milestone, or building our own security. But time and again, we achieve that goal only to realize we were made for more. This pursuit of our own kingdom leaves us feeling empty.
At Connection Point Church, we strive for a higher value: God’s Kingdom over my Comfort. We recognize that a true legacy in life is not about what we accomplish or achieve—it's about the people we impact eternally. If we fail to fulfill the eternal purpose Christ gave us, we are missing the point of our life.
Living out this value is what we call Living on Mission. Jesus called every believer—not just pastors or "super-spiritual" people—to make disciples. This is the very purpose of our spiritual journey, the ultimate purpose of life on earth. Living on Mission means we intentionally seek to impact those you already see every day. We are committed to making disciples right where we live, work, and play.
Why are we willing to make sacrifices or step outside of what’s comfortable? Because shifting our focus from temporary personal achievements to eternal impact is the highest calling. If I truly want to move from where I am to where God wants me to be- I must surrender my comfort and live for His kingdom.
