Leadership

Joel started Connection Point Church in 2010 after God gave him the vision for being able to pastor a church that not only made an impact for His kingdom, but where people enjoyed being a part. Joel grew up in Garland, TX, went to the University of Texas and Southwestern Theological Seminary. Joel has been married to his wife Erica since 1998, and they have 4 kids - Clayton, Oliver, Elliot, and Annie.

Joey started leading worship at Connection Point when the church was started back in 2010, and he was brought on as a full-time staff member in 2012. Joey grew up in Rowlett, TX and went to Belmont University in Nashville. At CPC, he plans our worship services, leads our band, and creates our visuals. Joey has been married to his wife Megan since 2009, and they have 3 boys - Hudson, Griffin, and Solomon. 

Tafadzwa "T" joined the staff at CPC in 2021. He is our first student pastor, and we are excited about our church being able to invest in to the next generation! Tafadzwa was born in Zimbabwe, grew up in Garland, TX. He attended East Texas Baptist University for undergrad and UT Tyler to receive his masters in clinical mental health. "T" has been married to his wife Chloe since 2019, and they have a daughter - Tahlia.
