RELATIONSHIP OVER RELIGION
When most people hear the word "religion," they think of rules to be followed. We believe that a proper view of God begins with a relationship. God's grace covers us when we fail to follow the rules. Our desire at CPC is for our hearts to never abandon our heavenly Father.
AUTHENTIC OVER ARTIFICIAL
The Christian life is a life of honesty. We are people who struggle and sin. In order to become more like Jesus, we must live open lives and bring our weaknesses out of darkness, into the light. In our weakness and shortcomings we are in position to fully rely on God and His grace to upend our lives and allow us to truly find healing and freedom.
GOD'S WORD OVER MY WORD
We live in the information age. Everyone has an opinion and truth seems to be losing meaning. We anchor ourselves in this world by prioritizing God's unchanging, proven truth over our opinions and thoughts. We change our beliefs as we encounter Scripture.
GIVING OVER GETTING
There is nothing more counter-cultural in our society than a generous heart. Living with an open hand is a great way to grow your faith and appreciate the things that God has given to you. The process of becoming more like Jesus is a process of developing a generous heart.
PRACTICE OVER PERFECTION
Dallas Willard once said that the Christian life is "training for reigning". In other words, our life is about preparing for eternity. Instead of expecting to be perfect the moment we decide to follow Jesus, we begin to practice for eternity. Using ancient Christian spiritual practices, we pursue the presence of God each day of our life.
GOD'S KINGDOM OVER MY COMFORT
It is common for us to find a comfort zone in church where we simply begin to "go to church" and inviting people to our church. At CPC, we want to grow the kingdom of God beyond the growth of our local church. So we will always seek to grow God's Kingdom beyond our church walls and make disciples where we live, work, and play.
Core Beliefs
Connection Point Church is a non-denominational church that is rooted in the ancient Christian faith. We adhere to both the Nicene Creed and the Apostle's Creed.
The following are the core beliefs of Connection Point Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these Biblical doctrines.

Nicene Creed
I believe in one God,
the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
and of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Son of God,
the Only-begotten, begotten of the Father before all ages;
Light of Light; true God of true God;
begotten, not made;
of one essence with the Father,
by Whom all things were made;
Who for us men and for our salvation
came down from heaven,
and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary,
and became man;
And was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate,
and suffered and was buried;
And the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures;
And ascended into heaven,
and sits at the right hand of the Father;
And He shall come again with glory
to judge the living and the dead;
Whose Kingdom shall have no end.
And in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the Giver of Life,
Who proceeds from the Father;
Who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified;
Who spoke by the prophets.
In one Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.
I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins.
I look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the age to come. Amen.
Apostle's Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic [universal] Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

God
God is the ruler of everything and exists eternally in three persons:
the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus
Jesus is the sinless Son of God who died on a cross for our sins and physically rose from the dead.
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit lives in every Christ follower and provides them with power to live a godly life.
Everyone Needs Jesus.
We Believe only Jesus is perfect. The rest of us need God’s forgiveness or we will face eternal consequences.
The Gospel
The Gospel is simple and sufficient.
The Kingdom of God is available here and now through faith in Jesus. Salvation is God’s gift to you if you will accept it. We can never do enough good to deserve God’s forgiveness. It is only through trusting in Jesus as God’s payment for our sin.

The Church
God has rescued us so we can reach others. We must be connected to God and connected to other believers in our mission to share the Gospel with others.
Baptism
We believe in Baptism. Baptism is the immersion a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior and the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus.

Our Story
Connection Point Church was launched on Feb. 14, 2010 with a vision to create a church that each member truly enjoyed.
Over the last 15 years, Connection Point has met in many different locations including multiple hotels, store fronts, parks, and schools.

God has revealed Himself in many ways throughout our journey as a church. From life change and baptisms to mission trips and meeting locations, He has shown His power. But one thing has stood out for us over the first fifteen years of our existence. His church is His people (not a building), and He sure does love His people!
